21 Days Tanzania Safari to Ngorongoro, Zanzibar, Tarangire and Kilimanjaro

Day 1: Starting your Tanzania Safari

On your arrival at Kilimanjaro airport in Arusha, you will be transferred to the Oasis Lodge, where you have the day for relaxation. Of course, you will be briefed on the clear details of your Tanzania Safari for familiarization as your dinner and overnight at Oasis lodge.

Day 2; Tarangire National Park

Having taken breakfast we will move to Tarangire National Park, where we reach around noon. We will then pitch our tents at a campsite in any chosen remote area of the park. Explore your first impressions of an African landscape as you get to an afternoon walk close to the park border. Overnight and meals at the Tarangire basic camping FB.

Day 3 & 4; Tarangire National Park

Enjoy the Safaris on foot guided by an armed ranger, or game drives in the park. The park owns a rich birdlife and animals in whatever season. Encounter zebras, elephants, wildebeest, and even lions. A visit to Tarangire, whatever the season, is full of experience. Overnight and meals at the Tarangire basic camping (FB).

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

Today, head for Ngorongoro Crater, where we reach for lunchtime. Take a picnic lunch we move downwards to the crater floor by car, for an afternoon game drive. The game drive at Ngorongoro is so rewarding, you can never regret it. In the evening we camp at a campsite at the crater rim. Overnight and meals at the Ngorongoro Crater basic camping FB.

Day 6;

Leave for Olmoti crater for a half-day walk. Customarily we meet Masai herders on our walk to the waterfalls of the crater while on your Tanzania Safari. Take lunch and continue to our base camp at Empakaai Crater.

Day 7;

The encounters along the trail down to the Crater Lake of Empakaai are spectacular at every point. You might see buffaloes or bushbucks, blue monkeys, and many birds. It is a delight to walk on every side of the lakeshore, encountering the serenity and quiet loveliness of this wild spot. Overnight and meals at Empakaai Crater basic camping FB.

Day 8: Lake Natron

Begin the on-foot tour to Lake Natron. Move down to the outer hills of the Great Rift Valley, walk in the open plains of the Embulbul basin, reach our campsite at the village Naiobi, to encounter the local Masai. Ol Doinyo Lengai and Mount Meru are seen along the way. The donkeys will carry your luggage. Overnight and meals at the plains of Ngorongoro Conservation Area basic camping FB

Day 9

Move well-nigh to the Oldonyo Lengai the sole active volcano of Tanzania, the “holy mountain” of the Masai. After 4 hours of walking, we arrive the foot of the impressive mountain, as we pitch our tents or at Ngare Sero campsite at the nearby Lake Natron.

Day 10; Mount Kilimanjaro

Ascent at around midnight to avoid the heat of the sun. expect a steep climb and you will reach the top at sunrise at 2450 m height. It is from here that we will have great views of the surrounding landscape, Lake Natron, Mount Meru and even Mount Kilimanjaro.
The crater itself offers a unique spectacle. You can descend in the crater floor, everywhere it is simmering and steaming, small volcanoes inside the crater produce streams of molten lava. Camping at the campsite at the foot of the mountain or at Ngare Sero campsite at the nearby Lake Natron (FB)

Day 11;

Move towards the Ngare Sero River, which flows in the Lake Natron. This place contrasts with the surrounding dry landscape. After a strenuous walk up the stream, we reach the source of the river, in torrent waterfalls, the river flows out of the mountain. Overnight at the Ngare Sero Zeltplatz. (FB)

Day 12

After the break with the aid of the car move to Longido. Here we visit a project inaugurated by the SNV, (an eco-tourism development organization of the Netherlands). Walk around the extensive plains of Longido Mountain with lush forestation and get some intuition into the traditional African culture of the people living here. Overnight at the campsite of the project. (FB)

Day 13:

Drive back to Arusha, where you will have your dinner, relaxation and overnight at the Oasis Lodge.

Day 14;

The option is yours to choose on whether you can stay at Sau Inn Hotel, Chwaka Bay Hotel or Baobab Beach Bungalows for overnight breakfast and Dinner

Day 15 – 18;

At the beach are wide ranges of water sport activities you can get involved in. Like you can opt for a boat trip, snorkeling, scuba diving, and many more. Breakfast and Dinner

Day 19;

Take breakfast and transfer to either the Dhow Palace or Chavda Hotel n Stonetown. Enjoy this spice tour on your way. After the tour, we will either invite you for a luxurious lunch prepared by our guides using these spices where you can taste the spices and fruits. The Spice Tour is also the cheapest place to purchase spices and spice oil as you back for dinner at the Dhow Palace.

Day 20; Zanzibar

You will be taken on a tour to encounter Stone Town on our Historical Stone Town Tour. This tour takes you through well-known Stone Town, where history materializes. It is an interesting look at the essence of Zanzibar. You will see Zanzibar’s buzzing market, winding alleyways, flamboyantly carved and upright beam doors, two cathedrals and countless mosques! Visit the House of Wonders, the Arab Fort, the Palace Museum (People’s Palace), and Dr. Livingston’s House amongst others. Overnight Stonetown Hotel and breakfast and dinner.

Day 21;

You will be transferred to the hotel for your scheduled flight back home
