10-DAYS PRIVATE SAFARI ITINERARY TO LAKE MBURO, BWINDI, QUEEN ELIZABETH AND KIBALE
Day 1
On your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by your Safari guide who will transfer you to your Hotel in Kampala. If your flight arrives in the morning, you will have a chance to visit some of the interesting places in Kampala. These include the Uganda Museum, Kasubi Tombs, Namirembe Cathedral etc.Overnight at Speke Resort Munyonyo or Hotel Africana (B/B)
Day 2
Your safari guide will meet you and depart by road for Lake Mburo National Park at 0700 hrs. The park harbors several species of mammals including Zebras, impalas, elands, topi and buffaloes, its sculptured landscape with rolling grassy hills and idyllic lakeshores. This scenic drive will take you to Lake Mburo for a late Lunch at the lodge. Have a late afternoon guided nature walk and relax around the pool to view the sun setting over the hills in Lake Mburo National Park. On a clear day you will be able to the Rwenzori Mountains in the far distance. Overnight at Mantana tented camp (FB).
Day 3
After breakfast between 7:00 and 8:00 am drive to the Park Headquarter and go for a boat trip at 10:00 am. You will see tons of hippo, a few crocodiles and a big variety of bird species. If you are lucky you will see buffalo from the boat and other wildlife and with a lot of luck maybe even a leopard or a big python. After Lunch, have a game drive on the Eland Track, this track is a good place to see eland and buffalo and all the other plains game. Return to the Lodge for a sun downer and dinner. After dinner go on a night game drive looking for hyenas, leopards, civits and jennet cats. Overnight at Mantana tented camp (FB).
Day 4
After breakfast, we shall have a drive to Bwindi Impenetrable forest. Stop for Lunch at Mbarara, and continue to the famous gorilla National Park, through big terraced hills, valleys and forests. Bwindi arriving late afternoon. Overnight at Gorilla Resort/Mantana Tented Camp (FB).
Day 5
Early morning after breakfast, report to the ranger station for a brief talk by one of the rangers as well as registration.The early morning entry into the gorilla sanctuary is spectacular as it offers a dramatic, heavily forested and dense landscape crisscrossed by numerous animal trails, allowing access for tourists. Find your way through the undergrowth and parting thick creepers with the help of a guide in search for Gorillas. The trek can take from half an hour to 9 hours. The thrill of spending time with and observing these gentle giant gorillas is a rare, moving, awesome and exciting adventure that will leave you with long lasting memories of a truly unique experience. You will be given 1 hour to watch and photograph the Gorillas as they play and interact. Overnight at Gorilla Resort/ Mantana Tented Camp (FB)
Day 6
After a morning breakfast depart early for Queen Elizabeth National Park. We will drive through the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth known as Ishasha, famed for its tree-climbing lions. Ishasha is a remote and beautiful extension of Queen Elizabeth National Park. We will see buffalo, topi and hippo among other species. It is a fabulous sight to see the lions draped from the trees and nowhere in Africa do you stand a better chance of seeing this than in the large low-limbed fig tree of Ishasha.

Day 7
After Breakfast, Have an early morning game drive and spot Elephants, waterbucks, warthogs, hippos and others. We will return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon a boat trip along the Kazinga Channel gives you the opportunity to view wildlife up close: hippo’s huff and spray mere feet away from the boat, buffalo linger in the shallows. The shores of the channel are also home to an array of birds including pink backed pelicans, pied and malachite kingfishers, saddle billed stork and many others. After this wonderful afternoon, a slow drive back to Lodge.

Day 8
Following breakfast, we will depart to Kibale Forest National Park. We will leave the park via the Northern Crater Area, with beautiful lake and rich grasslands which are set deep in the crater valley; this is truly the most breathtaking scenery in the park. We will then continue to the park, arriving the late afternoon.

Day 9
A relatively early morning start, to report to the ranger station in Kibale National Park at 08.00am to track habituated chimps – these delightful apes, more closely related to humans than to any other living creature, are tremendous fun to watch as they squabble and play in fruiting trees. The incredibly diverse forest is home to over 13 species of primates including red Colobus monkey, the rare L’Hoest, blue monkey, grey mangabey, pottos, black faced vervet monkeys, baboons and also bush babies. A network of shady forest trails provides much to delight botanists and butterfly lovers, while birders are in for a treat with 335 species recorded including the endemic Prirogrine’s ground thrush. The elusive forest elephant, smaller and hairier that its savannah counterpart, moves seasonally into the developed part of the park, while other terrestrial mammals include buffalo, giant forest hog and a half dozen antelope species. If you have energy in the afternoon, you will go for a guided walk in Bigodi Swamp to look for different bird species like the Shining Blue Kingfisher, Blue Throated Roller and other rare species and also find the fruiting trees, which attract Narina Trogon, Pied Hornbill, Yellow Spotted, Hairy Breasted and Yellow-Billed Barbets.

Day 10
After breakfast we will depart to Kampala arriving in the afternoon. END OF SAFARI.
