It was proclaimed that gorillas are back in Mgahinga National park. This was after a prolonged 3 years’ disappearance of gorilla which had crossed to Rwanda Pac des Volcanos which is also home to these endangered mountain Gorillas.

The habituated mgahinga family of Nyakagezi had reduced from 11 in number to 7 gorilla. As more of the gorilla will cross back to Mgahinga Natioanal park, this will increase on Uganda’s toursm in flow given the fact that Gorilla tracking is one of the unight tourism highlight that Uganda has and hence tourism development.
