ABSL1: 1 NIGHT EXCURSION TO LAKE NAIVASHA (THE GREAT RIFT VALLEY)
Day 01 - Nairobi / Naivasha
8.00AM - Depart Nairobi and drive leisurely on Naivasha Road to the Kikuyu Escarpment, the edge of the breathtaking world-famous Great East Africa Rift Valley. Descend to the floor and proceed to Naivasha currently a hive of economic activities comprising of multimillion-flower farming, vineyards, and other agricultural activities, and onto Hell's Gate National Park remarkable for its craggy cliffs and the fearlessly tame hyrax close to an impressive rock pillar.
Hell's Gate is one of the country's national parks, which can be explored on foot. A game walk past gracefully grazing gazelles and the larger antelopes can be delightful for nature walkers or keep-fit enthusiasts. You may opt to do a game ride on a bicycle! - They are available for hire at very reasonable charges.
12.00 hrs - You will take a leisurely-paced drive to Naivasha town. Stop by one of the local eating-out joints to sample what Naivasha town can offer, possibly the fisherman's catch-for-the-day, or simply proceed to the nearby Delamere dairies for Yoghurt and / or milk shake.
1.30PM - Return to Lake Naivasha Country Club located on the shores of the fresh-waters Lake Naivasha. This is the bird watcher's paradise, the most popular lakeshore resort owing to its old colonial architectural setting with manicured compounds giving a relaxing and cooling ambience. Upon check-in relax until 4.00PM the time for tea. Thereafter, you may wish to just take a walk around the compound, take a stroll to the lake, or take a boat-ride to the crescent island (this can be arranged with the Hotel direct at very reasonable rates) or simply have it easy and nice on the couch.
7.30PM - You are now ready for a proper sit-in meal - the Club takes the challenge! After dinner, you may wish to sit by the campfire in the lounge, a big delight for club patrons.
Retire at your own pleasure.
Day 02 - Naivasha / Nairobi
8.00 AM A hearty American buffet breakfast.
Relax in the lounge or embark on any of the optional activities perhaps missed out (offered by the Hotel direct at an extra cost), among them - a horse riding experience on the slopes of Mt. Longonot, a half day golfing experience from the nearby Great Rift Valley Resort, a visit to Crater Lake or a game drive within The Crater Lake Game Sanctuary....or a pre-arranged visit to the horticultural / flower farms! You are free until lunch time. After a sumptuous lunch at the club, board your transport and depart for Nairobi. You may wish to pass by Lake Elmentaita Lodge for an afternoon tea on a terrace overlooking Lake Elementaita.
Drop off at your Hotel or other within Nairobi.
