Bwindi impenetrable National Park
This is one of the richest areas for flora in Eastern Africa. This ancient rainforest is home to more than half of the remaining world mountain gorillas. It is the best known and most superb national park for gorilla tracking. Apart from the mountain gorillas, the forest is also a refuge to elephant, chimpanzee, monkeys and various small antelope, as well as bird species restricted to the Albertine Rift.

Mgahinga National Park
This is another awesome park in Uganda where mountain gorilla tracking is carried out. Mountain gorillas also form the main attraction of this small but well protected national park. Mgahinga National park protects the Uganda portion of the Virungas, an imposing sting of nine free standing extinct and active volcanoes that runs along the border with Rwanda and the Congo. Other wildlife includes the leopard, giant forest hog, Bushbuck, Buffalo and golden monkey.
